| Our club participates in the
Fourth of July Parade, great fun, and two weeks later,
Homewood Days begins. We put on our cooking mitts and start
roasting corn. Bob Wilson (Wilson
Rental) generously donates his two super-duper corn roasters for
this three day event. Everyone jumps in, and the fun begins.
We baked about 10 million cookies in the Sun Oven - and we still
have the small oven on display - but this hot, buttery roasted corn
sure draws a crowd.
The Corn Roast has helped the Club fund the Medical Mission,
contribute to the Annual Health Fair costs, and aids in filling
requests from our local non-profit organizations.
If you're in the area, please, stop by and grab an ear!
